Meet Team PMAI..
Sensei John Gunn 4th dan:
Sensei John has over 16 years experience teaching martial artstraining under Kyoshi Richard Everage 7th dan (Everage World Championship Karate). Sensei John is a two time New York State Self-Defense title winner. He also has won the mens hard traditional Japanese/Okinowan forms title.
Sensei Drew Gunn 3rd dan:
Drew is a Sandan Black Belt (third degree.) Drew has been taking karate for 16 years. At the school Drew teaches the Little Dragons Class (ages 3-7), helps instruct the Kids class (ages 8-14), and then participates in the Adults class (ages 15 & up).Sensei Jake Gunn 1st dan:
Jake has been a part of the karate world for 13 years. His role at the school includes helping run the Little Dragons class, teaching the kids class and participating in the Adult class. Jake is becoming one of the top fighters in the junior black belt ranks. Jake has emerged as one of the top weapons competitors in traditional and musical weapons.Jake is on the Honor Roll, is the President of his 10th grade class & is on the tennis team.
Sensei Tyler Platten 1st dan:
Tyler recieved his Black Belt in April.He has been training for eleven years. He has won several IFMA titles as an under belt. He has now entered one of the toughest divisions on the circuit. Tyler is an out standing competitor and will certainly be up for the challenge. Tyler is on the Honor Roll & enjoys skateboarding.Sensei Adam Goldstein:
Adam travels from Buffalo to train at Premier Martial Arts. He has been competing on the IFMA circuit for several years and has been very succesful. Adam recieved his Black Belt from PMAI/Kyoshi Everage in late 2008. Be sure to keep an eye on this dynamic talent.Donald Amorese:
Donald is a Green belt at PMAI. Donald has taken a new challenge of assistant instructor in the Little Dragons class. He has been learning karate for 4 years. Donald is a member of the Adult class and recently made it to Grands in this past tournament. Donald is quickly becoming one of the top intermediate competitors in the IFMA.
Halle Platten:
Halle has been training for 5 years @ PMAI. This is her first year on the competition team. Her Sparring, forms, and weapons are certainly a great addition to Team PMAI. Her enthusiasm and competitive cheerleading experience make Halle one of the top young female competitors.
